We have released a new version of InRule Process Automation, version 2.80. As usual, it contains different improvements and adjustments. Some of them might not affect you directly, but you can be sure that we are constantly fixing and improving things behind the scenes to refine features that already exist, or to prepare for new features that are coming later.

New features 
Naming the process 

In previous versions of the product, when you changed the name of a Process, it changed the name for all instances and tasks created in that process, including completed tasks. From this release, changing the name of a Process will only change the name of the Process on future tasks and instances for your Process.

For example: 

If your Process was named Change request then all your instances and tasks were related to that application. So, if you start new instances and the name has been changed to Returns then only the created instances after the name change will have the metadata with the new name Returns.

Bug-fixes 

iPad locking tasks

Error

If a task was left open on an iPad for an extended period before being completed, the task would freeze on a loading screen when the user selected Complete task. 

Fix

Tasks may be completed as expected on iPads. 

Duplications when uploading files to the Drag and drop area in the attachment folder

Error

When uploading a file through a form to an attachment folder, the same file was duplicated and also uploaded to the content folder. 

Fix
 The file is now uploaded exclusively to the attachment folder in the form. 

This release also contains additional minor bug fixes and security updates.
