What is a List?

Lists can be used for many things, they can serve as an inbox for your tasks or to monitor process instances. Lists let you search, filter, and open tasks & instances directly and can be configured to show any data from the process form. Even some general data from the instance can be displayed and users may create their own lists. There are two main types of lists:

Task Lists

These are used to display and list tasks in the application. They can be configured to show “My tasks” or “All tasks” and can also be grouped by instance.

Instance Lists

These are used to monitor or give a broader perspective of all instances on the application. The instance list can advantageously be used to generate reports as well.

All lists can display active, closed, or both types of cases. It is also possible to filter the list by a value or date.

Note: Try not to compose lists that are too large. They may take too long to load and it will not be efficient for the end user. Narrow the scope of what you need to list and display. Utilize date filters and divide large lists into several smaller lists.
