Barium Live! 2013.3 brings some great new and improved features for application administrators to better be able to managing data and permissions to ongoing tasks and instances. For users creating lists there are new features that make it possible to format list columns and to add templates that will be used when exporting list data to excel.
Some brand new self service features have also been made available for Space administrators to manage user permissions to Barium Live functionality and to generate API-keys. Contract owners will also be able to see an overview of what’s included in their Barium Live contract.
1. Share button always available for application administrators
Application administrators have now always access to the “Share button” in all tasks. This make it possible to assign tasks to other users or groups in case of that a user is not currently available, or if something has gone wrong.
To access the Share button as an application administrator, you can open any task from either a list or from the instance overview.
2. Replace one user in an application with another user
This feature allows application administrators to transfer all instance and task permissions within an application from one user to another. It is also possible to transfer permissions that a user has in a specific role to another user.
This feature is helpful if a user terminates its employment, temporarily is unavailable or if there has been organisational changes.

3. Edit locked and hidden fields in forms
Application administrators are able to edit all fields within forms, even if the fields have a state where they are locked or hidden. This means that you can add information or edit incorrect information, even if the fields at the moment are not editable in any ongoing task.
To be able to use this feature you have to open the specific form from the content folder in the Instance overview.
This feature will also allow you to save changes to a form, even if it contain fields that are required but at the moment are empty.
4. List column formatting
This feature allows you to configure what text alignment the information will have in list columns and if the information should be word wrapped or not.
This will help you create better looking and more informative lists, since you through the word wrapping capability can show more text on each row.
You configure the formatting in the list designer tool.
5. Export list data to an Excel template
A new tab is available in the list designer tool where you can upload a template that will be used every time the specific list is exported to excel.
This make it possible to use the capabilities of Excel on your Barium Live Data, without having to do work in excel after every export. For instance you can create reports containing charts which will be automatically updated every time you exporting a list from Barium Live.
This feature can be really useful and can work as a complement to the Process Performance Dashboard or even in some cases as an alternative to integrate a BI-tool with Barium Live.

6. Generate API-key
A new menu item called Integration is available in Space settings. In this view it is possible, for those who integrating with Barium Live, to generate or re-generate an API-key without contacting Barium Live Support.
To use this feature you must have a contract that allows integration.
7. Contract Overview
As a Contract owner you are now able to see your contract details and the consumption of volume restricted items in your contract, such as licenses and spaces.
You find the contract overview under your Account settings where a new menu item is available called contracts.
Note! It might take a couple of days after the release date before you can see your contract information.
8. Manage user permissions
As a Space administrator you are now able to manage what functionality in Barium Live each user should have access to. This feature is something that earlier only has been available for the Barium Live Support personnel.
The user list (now named Members) under Space Settings has received four new check boxes on each row, Model, Build, Run and Admin. The combination of check boxes that are ticked determines what functionality the user will be able to use.
Space settings menu - The menu item Users & Groups is replaced with two new items called Members and Groups.
Space settings menu - The menu item Permissions is removed.Space administrator permission is now given by ticking a checkbox called admin in the view Members.
Add user to groups - In the new Member view is it not possible to edit and add groups to a user. This can only be done under Groups, but requires that the user already is a member of at least one group.
Fixed an issue in the process modeling tool where the icon of Data Objects was wrong.
Fixed an issue where sub-instances in some cases were given incorrect names.
Fixed an issue where a process list with more than 50 items in it did not get exported when clicking on export.
Fixed an issue where User profiles were not updated correctly when syncing from Active Directory.
Fixed an issue with the user interface when completing tasks, which in some browsers impacted the layout of the Confirm Action button.
Fixed an issue where line wrapping was done incorrectly on the user profile link.
Fixed an issue where all spaces didn’t show up in the drop down menu under the Start button.
Fixed an issue where an error sometimes occurred when documents were opened under Resources in the task view.
Fixed an issue where Internet Explorer sometimes couldn’t load a list after editing the same list.
Fixed an issue with encoding problem in HTML panel.
Fixed an issue where the layout of the Powered by Barium Live-tag was wrong, when a space was configured with a customized header.
Fixed an issue where the interface did not work properly when using zoom in/out functionality in some browsers.
